OUR MISSION

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 143 is proud to represent more than 600 tradesmen and tradeswomen who earn a living and support their families by working in the Greater Harrisburg area.

Through collective bargaining, we ensure our members – your neighbors, Sunday school teachers, volunteer firemen, civic leaders – earn good hourly wages and great fringe benefits to live a middle-class lifestyle.

Our members have been part of the fabric of Harrisburg for over a century, having built and rebuilt the region. Founded in 1916, our Local Union now counts among our membership numerous second-, third- and fourth-generation craftsmen and craftswomen who work safely and efficiently.

We pride ourselves on being the finest electrical workforce in the area. Through our industry-leading commitment to training, we ensure our members are trained to use the latest technology, produce work that is of the highest quality, work safely and help projects come in on time and on budget.

The members of IBEW Local 143 are more than a workforce; we are a family—a Brotherhood and Sisterhood of individuals who support each other on and off the jobsite.
